PRESS RELEASEMay 5, 2008 CEO GOLF CHALLENGE NAMES FOUNDATION SUPPORTING CANADA’S TROOPS AS CHARITY RECIPIENT FOR 2008 EVENTS TORONTO, ON – Joanne Noble, President of the CEO Golf Challenge 2008, announced today that the charity component of the six events scheduled in Canada this year will be donated directly to Canada Company—an apolitical organization established in 2006 by business leaders in Canada to support those who serve, or wish to serve, in Canada’s Armed Forces, and their families. The CEO Golf Challenge has six events scheduled for 2008 stretching across the country.  All events are part of the Canadian Series with tournaments in Toronto (3), Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary. Based in Toronto, The CEO Golf Challenge designs luxury golf competitions for ‘c’ suite executives in search for the Best CEO Golfer in the World!! “I don’t think any of us really realize what some of these soldiers and their families go through. This is our way of saying “Thanks for all you do” said Noble. “I believe our participants will be very proud and in full support knowing who the charity beneficiary is for 2008.  I hope to help with public awareness of Canada Company through our program and hopefully, our participants get personally involved with the Foundation” she said. Blake Goldring, Chair and CEO of AGF Management Ltd., who founded and Chairs the Canada Company organization, and is the Honorary Colonel of The Royal Regiment of Canada, indicated that this new partnership would strengthen the bonds between the business community and Canada’s brave men and women in uniform. “There are many ways that each of us can serve and by providing this opportunity to network with Canada’s captains of industry to raise the profile and the funds for this deserved cause will be a great boost to our initiatives” he said. Canada Company supports a large and diverse range of activities—from recently initiating a change to the War Exclusion clause in mortgage insurance policies for serving members of Canada’s Armed Forces to hosting the Canada Company Scholarship Fund which provides scholarships to children of Canadian troops killed on active mission for post secondary education  Col.
